Courtney sounds like he seriously might be part of our 2010 class.

Well at least the kid's a power forward. Also sounds like he's gotten some interest from some decent schools, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Arkansas. Let's hope we get something going in 2010 early.

LSU holding a strong lead for Courtney and he will not be taking any other visits.

He should be a commit to LSU shortly.

If true, this is definitely a very nice early pick up. The description of this kid reminds me of a Ronald Dupree kind of signing out of MS. It's high time that we start going back into MS to sign hoops recruits. We need a versatile kid on the frontline, and I like the sound of a 6'7" 200+ kid who's athletic, not afraid to mix it up down low and may grow. This is also a nice complement to what is sure to be a guard heavy class. You'd like to see a 6'9"+ guy on the radar, but hopefully we're in on some bigs in 2010.

Sure enough, Rivals is also reporting that LSU is the leader for Courtney... You'd like to see more than just lip service, tho'

Read the article on Courtney on tigerbait.com if you have a subscription

    1. Wow, is he well-spoken or what? High-character kid here that knows his stuff

    2. Wake Forest might actually be his leader, and they're apparently close to offering

I LIKE THIS KID. It's clear that CTJ is going after high character, smart kids. It's a little troubling the Wake thing, but I believe both Aaron Dotson and Eddie Ludwig also looked at Wake and ultimately chose the Tigers. Let's hope all of the factors like distance, the fact that him and mom loves CTJ (NICE :) ), the fact that LSU needs a 6'8" PF like nobody's business, the new facilities when this kid gets here and the fact that this kid has been a big LSU fan plays out into an early commitment. Let's get 2010 rolling....
:geauxtige BE A PART OF THE TRENT JOHNSON ERA.

LSU is in the top 5 for one of the top 5 PF prospects in the nation, Tobi Oyedeji. He is out of Bellaire HS in Texas.

Others in his top 5 are ASU, OU, A&M, and GT.
