Well, looks like next weekend will be huge if Stringer makes it in for a visit.

TD is saying that Pressey's dad was Mike Anderson's college roommate. Why am I only hearing about that now? LOL

Yup. I've always felt just the way things were looking that Ralston Turner would be the last to commit, if he did. We probably won't see anything from him until.... well, Andre Stringer comes through.

Saw Pressey's news and can't say that I'm surprised. Funny how recruiting works and so much of the "behind the scenes" stuff isn't really even reported on and the beat writers sort of just report on the rumor mill, what a coach/kid says, etc. Pressey's family's connection to Mike Anderson as well as Missou really putting Pressey at the top of their list probably had a lot to do with it. So much of hoops it seems these days, it the relationships, the system run and whether those two things equals a shot at the NBA. I think Missouri focused on their man, and their system is good for Pressey. Not sure I'd pick Missouri as the backdrop over Tigertown, but the other Tigers love their hoops.

In any case, you wonder how much of this recruiting is pre-destined despite the lack of reporting. Alabama has identified it's PG of choice in Trevor Releford. Missou got it's PG in Pressey. Memphis recently signed Joe Jackson (does Tenn make another run at Stringer?). So, the potential destinations for PGs is shrinking and is Andre (coming with Courtney to Tigertown next weekend?) ever closer to committing to LSU? One would hope so.

But, it was quiet news that Andre Stringer actually visited USC on the west coast on the September 5th . He's tentatively scheduled to visit 'Bama in October. Releford's visit to 'Bama is this weekend, at the same time that Stringer's visiting LSU. Could we just get this over with this weekend?

Yay! We have some 3pt snipers coming in, especially if Stringer commits, too. I just wish we could get one more big to spell White and Warren off the bench next year.

Awesome! Three down and only one to go. This is tremendous news. http://louisianastate.scout.com/a.z...http://louisianastate.scout.com/2/898531.html

Things line up pretty damn well for Stringer. Two tremendous shooters at the 2 & 3, and Stringer's buddy and MS pal at the 4. In essentially 2.5 recruiting years, think about this. Trent has essentially reshaped our traditionally low post, but frustrating guard play Brady teams into a team with a bevy of shooters and smart perimeter players. If we get Andre, that's just another commitment to take us full into an exciting Trent regime with his brand of ball.

    Come On Down, Andre!

Maybe I have missed it but a prospect named Zeigler still has LSU listed in his favorites and may visit down the road.

    Any info on this guy?

6-5 SG, largely regarded as a top 40 player, from MI. Has had LSU on the list for a while, but is considered a likely Big 10 lean. What's been interesting is LSU has been named by a few kids from the Midwest (Dashonte Riley, Marcus Jordan)--that's largely due to Trent and Brent Scott (from MI). But, now with Ralston, I don't expect the continuing Zeigler news. I think interestingly, another kid that was on the LSU's list was Cameron Clark, another 6-6 kid from TX. In any case, I think there's one schollie (really) reserved for Andre Stringer.

Here's another article on Ralston with key quotes. Let's hope that he does resemble more the #40 player (ESPN) than the #144 player (Rivals). :)
