USC and UCLA discuss Sidney. Good thing LSU stayed away.

USC was scared to recruit Renardo Sidney - The Dagger - NCAA Hoops - Rivals.com

Wow. If Tim Floyd of all people was scared of recruiting the kid, you know something illegal went down.

We'll certainly see how this plays out. Certainly you can say that LSU is after a different breed of kid, for sure. Stansbury probably doesn't care.

More 2010 news from Rivals... good in-depth article from Matt D.

He's definitely getting alot more attention these days. His top list seems to have expanded to include the likes of Stanford and Georgetown.

I hope he isn't interested in law as a career. He has a perfect GPA and a very high ACT score. It will be hard to turn down a Georgetown or Stanford athletic scholarship if he is interested in the pursuit of a pre-law undergraduate degree.

If that is the case, Georgetown would be a perfect fit. He could earn his degree, learn from the politicians how to ear mark, and how not to pay taxes.

According to Rivals, LSU has offered a 2010 MI Shooting Guard, Trey Zeigler.

    Trey Zeigler - Basketball Recruiting

Guy has like 10 offers from programs everywhere, but LSU is certainly trying to get their name out. Not sure how seriously Trey is taking LSU, but at this point there are a lot of offers out for 2010. It'll be interesting which of the kids take actual visits to LSU.

He said on Scout he plans to visit LSU but I guess we will see if he actually makes it.

Depending on the source, it's hard to tell which out of state prospects LSU are really after.

Rivals recently posted that 6'6" Texas SF Cameron Clark got a LSU offer. He's a 5 star who's racked up plenty of offers...

According to Rivals, Jelan Kendrick out of GA does not have a LSU offer, but Scout says he has one.
