I see your point, but I'm glad we opted for Bo instead of White. Bo's a proven PG, whereas White is really a 5'6'' SG. Also, it's tough to be 5'6'' and play in the physical SEC.

That's great to hear. Nbaone - If LSU has a really bad year and our coach is fired, will Harris and Graham still come to LSU?
The LOIs have been signed by our 4 recruits, so unless there are extraordinary circumstances (Brady fired, players ask to be released by new coach), they'll be at LSU next year.

whats Brady's status as far as his contract is concerned... length, buyout etc? He has had some bad luck this year you know.. Tasman Mitchell is a all SEC performer that got hurt & also the other Thompson kid got hurt.. remove two starters from most teams & it will cause major problems.... No not defending him - just pointing out whats real...
On second thought - where will Tasman fit in next year with all that tall front line talent coming in?? Depth is always a problem with Brady but next year seems like they will have a full team....
Is this just the typical skuttlebutt or do you have something more substantial? As I posted on the '09 thread, I think it's a little early to tell here still, especially given the current admin's view towards men's hoops. Honestly, TC, I'm also getting a little impatient and I'm a big hoops fan. The last few performances have left me a little concerned, blowing leads against Villanova and Washington haven't been impressive coaching outings for Brady. I think there are certainly issues with this year's team, losing Tas' and QThornton were unexpected for sure and would have made a big difference, but the inconsistent play of the folks on the court is what concerns me more. Yes, they're young and inexperienced, but guys like Temple have been there as have Terry Martin, Thornton is a JUCO All-American. You'd hope that that those guys would pull this team together harder as well. The season's certainly not over yet, but with the SEC quickly looming, and recent changes in the SEC paying dividends for other SEC west schools, i.e., Ole Miss and Arkansas, it's going to be hard for Brady to keep his job if he's got another SEC cellar dwelling year. The contract Brady signed was I believe a 4 or 5 year deal, and there's going to be a cost to taking him out. I think a more important question to ask is when is Skip's replacement going to be named, what's his view towards hoops, and how soon is he likely to make a change? Also, how much $ can LSU spend to make a change, i.e., buy out Brady AND then presumably can they spend the $$ to even get a bigger name coach? I am still hoping for some signs of real life from this team. A top half finish in the SEC, with what we have coming in next year, might keep the status quo.
