Well, Brandon Moore committed to Arkansas. We put all of our attention on Monroe, and ended up losing out on all 4 of the Louisiana talents this year.
It is a danger that we have seen this staff take on before. But, you can see both sides of this. Does LSU go after the "elite" class or do you try to recruit LA? Perhaps it's the staff getting greedy, BUT, I think many of us on this thread dreamed of the elite class of GA, TX and LA class coming together... We knew though that Monroe was a long shot, but then which LA target do you make feel wanted the most? Is it easier for the Ole Misses and Baylors of the world to pick off the next level guys claiming the LSU lack of love?
It's confusing. A few month back, after Rolle transferred, Brady was quoted as sying he was going to forget about the out of state players and concentrate on keeping the Louisiana talent.
I don't know what's dumber... him saying that or you believing him? The absolute bottom line is that this is a horrific loss for LSU's program to fail to get Monroe. Failing to sign anyone else of substance is even worse.
Agreed. This was the guy was gonna be our oden and from everything I heard would of assured us Morgan....but whatever. Graham and Harris should be solid players down the line but man what if.
Jerry Meyer said that J'mison is deciding between LSU and Alabama. He is also visiting Cincinnati this weekend.
An update on recruiting from the Advocate today... http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/10666906.html?showAll=y&c=y Sort of states the obvious... the attention turns to Mr. Morgan, who states that LSU remains "in the top 3". Also states that contrary to reports, Monroe's decision has little bearing on his. Seems logical, now the kid can really "be the man" down low. But, if we're in the top 3, who are we in the top 3 with... 'Bama and Kansas? Still on pins and needles. Also the article talks about '09. With six schollies to give, the biggest names seem to be Karron Johnson, who turns out to be friends with Chris Johnson, and Keith Gallon. Both of whom would be nice frontcourt pick ups. Although a lot can happen in a year's time...
BAD NEWS FROM THE LSU BASKETBALL TEAM:nope: :nope: :nope: :nope: :nope: :nope: :nope: QT WILL MISS THE 2008 SEASON DUE TO AN INJURY THAT HAPPEN IN THE (WT ROOM) NOT GOOD AT ALL................ NOW THE KID FROM CAILF...WILL HAVE TO PLAY AND NOT "RED SHIRT" STAY TUNE FROM THE INSIDE....
Brady sounds like he's sure about Morgan. “It’s going to be a great event for our team next year. We’ll have everybody back but Dameon Mason, and if things go right, we’ll have a great recruiting class with a tremendous big man in the middle,” Brady said. qoute from the advocate. hope he's right, getting morgan will ease the pain of Monre!
