I don't disagree with you 'Chokes, but these are explainable: 1. Malcolm White--he's a 2007 recruit actually, so he would have to fight for PT with Randolph. And, I don't think he's the next Tyrus. 2. Brandon Wilson--I was a little annoyed with this one, b/c I had read he was a pretty good guard. Until I saw we had Marcus Thornton signed. Again, he's looking at potentially fighting for PT with Marcus. The staff probably said, we've got Martin and Thornton for two more years and then we're loading up in '09. I don't know how Wilson compares to Brandon Mitchell, our '09 signee, for example, but hopefully, it's not a big loss. 3. Terrance Henry--I'm disappointed. But, it's just hard to tell a guy, wait until after Monroe and Morgan decide, right? We do have some competition, though. I'd advise that Butch and Brady always leave one or two spots per class to really go after and sign their top LA targets. In this year, unfortunately, that ends up being the #1 recruit that everyone's after, and then after that, well, the next guy plays the same position as the first guy... :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. MONROE AND MORGAN... BE TIGERS.
All I have to about Dennis Harris (for those who are worried about him) is to get used to him, because there is a very big chance that he starts in 2009.
AMEN AMEN AMEN AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just know this that Brady and dollar were in town last week! And were so impress with his progress He has been working VERY HARD! In the Wt: room His Family has hired a Trainer just for him… Wow!! (NO BS.) That’s what you want in a player! “HARD WORK” REDSHRIT????? Ga Tech- still wants to talk with him on this Friday- A few other players’ commitment over the weekend as well to other school….. Do you guy’s realize how much B’BALL TALENT IS HERE IN THE STATE OF GA. IF YOU DON’T- THEN READ THE USA NEWSPAPER ASAP!! NUMBER ONE CLASS OF 2008/2009 TOP HIGH SCHOOL AND TOP AAU TEAMS MORE D-1 OFFERS THEN ANYBODY… AND BY THE WAY!! MR.HARRIS ON AN AVG: SHOOTS 450 JUMP SHOOTS A DAY!!!! THAT’S FROM THE FRONT OFFICE OF THE CELTICS THE HEAD COACH FROM GA TECH KNOWS AND SO WILL A LOT OF YOU IF HE KEEPS THIS PACE UP!
You've convinced me... You've convinced me. :yelwink2: I'll be waiting. I certainly like the work ethic and the smarts to know where he's got to be to make an impact in the SEC on this team. If the kid bulks up to say 220 in the next year or so, with his touch, he's definitely got a chance to play in '09 and beyond. Certainly if we don't get the frontcourt guys we're after, he'll be getting a lot of PT. But, all eyes are on Mr. Monroe, my friends. I'm stating the obvious here, but perhaps the most important recruit roaming the sidelines today will be GM. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/10285412.html Let's hope that the weekend is magical... :geauxtige :bball: :champs: MR. MONROE... BE A TIGER.
Yes, it was sweet!!!! The atmosphere is electric and last night it must have been crazy around campus... Can you imagine if only it was like that in the PMAC! Seriously though, I hope some day the hoop players get to see that kind of excitement for them... Greg and J'Mison if you come, they will! Regardless, the overall impact of a game like the Florida game is felt throughout the entire athletic department.
Hopefully, Greg stayed the whole game. And Mike Scarbarough says that the LSU coaching staff thinks they are the clear leaders for Morgan.
Here's some comments on a Rivals board about Greg Monroe sightings: -He was hanging out with Garret Temple. -Looked like he was having a great time. -He was all smiles when the student section gave him a standing ovation. Scarbrough also said the Tigerbait.com will try to have an update on him soon. Also, FWIW, Chris Singleton is naming FSU, Tennessee, and Georgetown now.
Monroe did seem to be enjoying himself, but I saw him doing the gator chomp at one point to the student section, and it was while we were losing so I didn't get the impression it was to mock UF.
Not to change the topic or anything (i.e., love to talk about us landing Monroe and Morgan all day), but just saw that Rivals lists a new LA prospect on the LSU board, Arthur Fisher, a 5-11 PG. Not on the "highly rated" radar, but a speedy LA PG with good court vision based upon what I could find. Anyone know him? http://www.maxpreps.com/FanPages/Pl...a/AreaID-7697115c-797b-47a1-b2ec-edc1a5e4a13e Seems like perhaps if one of the big fish gets off the hook, LSU might lock up a local guard? Or, it may just be him being interested in us... just wondering.
