nbaone, as best you can figure, what do you think Graham's current height is? Is he really a legit 6'7"?
Look the article on yahoo? Its under rumors which means who knows what but it list alot more teams than us. Including UK and apparently there is some truth to the story because the lexington newspaper is reporting that he will be there unoffiically at the UK/UF football game. here is the link : http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/rumors/post/Maryland-loses-hoops-commitment?urn=ncaab,46054
http://louisianastate.scout.com/a.z?s=107&p=8&c=1&nid=1970104 J'mison Morgan is visiting Alabama this coming weekend, which could mean trouble since their football fans will be just as rowdy as ours.
I guess that would matter, if Morgan is going somewhere based upon their football crowd! Seriously though, if I were Morgan, I'd take a real hard look at 'Bama's track record getting BIG men to the NBA. I think these days, 'Bama is a formidable SEC west recruiting machine: (1) THEIR university has invested serious dollars in building up its hoops facilities, (2) Gottfried has had a decent track record of winning success (still not been to the final four) of late, (3) their fans probably get into hoops a little more than LSU fans do. BUT, I'd say that 'Bama does NOT coach up its bigs. See the following to get a sense of who from 'Bama is in the pros, J'Mison: http://www.rolltide.com/ViewArticle.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=8000&ATCLID=239596 More particularly, it's my belief that recent 'Bama bigs have "underachieved"... Chuck Davis (undrafted), Jamareo Davidson (drafted below Big Baby, despite a more "prototypical" PF body), and Richard Hendrix (a McD AA, but unknown draft status now). Plus, past 'Bama drafted NBA big men of some notariety, Robert Horry, Antonio McDyess, and Jason Caffey, were all developed and drafted prior to Gottfriend getting there... LSU has had Stromile Swift (lottery), Jabari Smith, T-Train (lottery), Big Baby, Brandon Bass, all drafted in just the Brady era.... (that's not to mention Shaq' and others in the pre-Brady era). Geaux to LSU, J'Mison, if you want that NBA caliber preparation...:hihi: :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. SIX NBA LOTTERY PICKS... AND COUNTING.
Hopefully, he'll take that into account, but our competition is clearly Kansas, which probably has the better track record of big men in the NBA. A rivals article from tigerbait.com today reiterates that he is deciding on Nov. 2 and supposedly has no favorites. I have to say, judging from his coach's comments in this article, I think he's pretty much a Kansas lock at this point, much to my dismay. I really, really hope he's a Tiger, but if he isn't, hopefully the staff can retaliate and try to pull a liking with Chris Singleton again?
Also, it's looking like Brandon Moore isn't in LSU's plans for the future. Today, his coach said that he will probably end up at a mid-major where he can play right away.
