Another LSU offer for 2008 goes to Delwan Graham. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=107&p=8&c=1&nid=2012770 Seems he's a highflyer.
Looks like Coach Dollar is already having his presence felt. This kid is a 6-5 SF, from GA. Seems like an athletic up and down player, so that may also bode well for the future style that Brady's staff will play. May we finally see the marriage of hard nosed defense with a more up tempo offense? We can only hope.... He's a three star, so it also says to me, that we're sprinkling out offers to signable kids--he's getting serious looks from Wichita State, Tennesse and Dayton, so there are a couple of decent schools in the mix. :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. Yeah, I did notice a lot of Atlanta players start showing interest in us after Coach Dollar joined the staff. It would be awesome if we established a pipeline to the Atlanta Celtics. They are a powerhouse AAU team that is a factory for big time recruits.
He'll be at least a 4 star when it's all said and done. His articles talk about how he always plays his best against matchups with some of the best big men in the country. It also says he has a knack for getting 20/20 games. (20 pts, 20 rebs)
Randolf has a nice touch and really controls himself all over the court.
Good article on the Advocate today about class of '08. It's a shame that all four guys are forwards... but I guess there's a reason that LSU has traditionally been a NBA forward factory. I guess I'd be a happy with a combination of these guys. The key for Brady and staff is making sure they all feel the love... http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/7969312.html?showAll=y&c=y :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. More hoops recruiting news in the Advocate... interesting follow up from yesterday's story. This one's on none other than Greg Monroe... http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/7990517.html?showAll=y&c=y Some interesting tidbits on his real state of mind right now... :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. Do we have a shot? His mom saying she will move with him wherever he goes is a -1 to our positive factors.
At this point, who knows? I guess my perspective is it's about 40% (yes)-60% (no). What's interesting is the quotes that Greg had about Brady, which is (counter to the anti-Brady sentiment) here's a guy who gets the most out of his players and while intense on the court, is very nice off the court. I wanted to feel a little bit better after reading article. But, when you consider that he's being courted from all over the country, by big name coaches, and "basketball first" programs, it'll be a hard battle. I think LSU does have a chance... the key will be how they do this year, what kind of impact a guy like Anthony Randolph has on the court, and how does this coaching staff gel with Dollar. I think if Greg really gets the feeling like he'll fit in on the court (which to me is, is there a place for a more "versatile" PF and how does he play along side Randolph?), and LSU is on the rise again, we have a chance. What also has got to pull at Greg, is, what does his signing with LSU really mean to the state. Not since Shaq', or to some degree Semoine, has there been a more important basketball signing than potentially what Greg could be. It could literally be a boost to the state as a whole kind of thing. That said, another big name in the class of '08, Terrance Henry, may also be there. He's coming in for an unofficial, and I like the sound of this kid too. Basically, LSU's got to have open arms for all of these LA forwards (Monroe, Henry, Warren and Moore). The one's that really want to be at LSU must have the opportunity to feel the love... See the end of this article... BTW, good pick up with Brandon Mitchell in '09. I like the sound of this kid. Quarterback/Guard... to me says also, that the kid might have a good head on his shoulders to understand the game... he also has the athleticism to go with it. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/8010537.html?showAll=y&c=y :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL.
