To balance out the positive with some negative, I'll say that Jai Lucas has finally confirmed his visits... Maryland, Oklahoma and Kentucky. No LSU, and from what he says, it doesn't seem like he cooled off on us. We did on him. Makes no sense to me if we really had a shot at him. You never can have too many good point guards... I hope we had a good reason for this.

Point made, but it still remains to be seen whether or not these kids are championship level players like Tyrus, Baby, and Tasmin are.

 

Here's more scoop on Hendrix from the Advocate. At least one scout rates him the top JUCO prospect in the country. Not too shabby. Also there's a funny connection to LSU for Hendrix in his similarities to Big Baby (he slimmed down from 315 to 250-260 lbs) and his love for Shaq'.

Lastly, current targets include Martavius Adams (from GA), Anthony Randolph (from TX) and another name resurfacing, Garrett Green (from CA). This could be a solid class completely from outside LA.

These are all good solid big men prospects. We need guards!!!!!

 

If we get Garret Green, I'll be disappointed. Go for Martavius and Randolph, you fool of a Brady.

 

Tack Minor, Ben Voogd, Terry Martin, Garret Temple, etc. until 2009 when Tommy Griffin comes in.

and his skills are shooting the rock. We've all complained about our lack of shooters, so this year Brady signs DJ Wright, and I'm assuming that's why he's liking Green--either that or he wants to get a diversity pick (a kid from Taft outta Cali).

 

Meh. The first thing I thought of this kid is why the hell does he look like a fake, wax figurine?

And if you want a shooting big man, go with Randolph. He's got the 3 down, is probably superior in athletics, and is left-handed. :wink:

 

BTW, did anyone see a carbon copy of Glen Davis in Martavius Adams on campus today?
