Great Article:thumb: I am intersted to see how this Griffin kid will do at PG in the future. Looks like he can score some major points as he showed in the playoffs this year. I dont know much about him, does he run a smooth offense and have leadership potential?
I don't know much about what kind of offense they run at Houston Madison, but from what I've seen of him on Rivals' film (for lack of a better description), he's like a Tack Minor that can actually handle the ball and pass... He's smooth off the dribble and he's a short, but muscular PG. He's touted himself as a "pass first" PG, hence the pretty high assist rate, but he's developing on offense. Working on his outside shot, but can penetrate and bull his way to the goal. I think he's a good prospect and will work himself up the recruiting lists. I also like him as a contrast, IF we get Donnell Beverly. You've got the flexibility to go bigger at point with Beverly, or really speed up the tempo with Griffin. Or, play them together, where you've got two very solid ball handlers on the court with very complementry skills. Man, I'm already getting excited.
New name for 2008: Terrance Henry. 6'9'' 190 pounds. Only 190.... He sounds really good, though, so I'd love to get him over here. It's not like we're getting Monroe or anything. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In fact over the last 10 games he has averaged around 30 points a game while proving he is not your normal big man. Henry's production and skill combined with his 6-9 frame make him a unique prospect. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oney said. "LSU of course is his No. 1, A&M, and Oklahoma were his top three and all of those are schools that have been down and are actively recruiting him." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He has an LSU offer. http://lsu.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=63713#colleges
Looks like BC and UConn have showed up on the Beverly bandwagon... http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=2569323
In case you weren't aware, Uconn signed 8 players last year after losing the entire starting 5 to the NBA. So, they don't currrently have a scholarship. That could change. Evidently he is trying to run off some players.... http://www.topix.net/forum/ncaa/connecticut/T5T6JMREPKI8RF7VR
http://www.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/uwire/031207aat.html I'd say this is a very real concern for LSU. If I'm Beverly, I'm going to UConn if I get an offer.
