I hear that Desmond had problems with the rest of the team.... And y'all do realize that Q might not even qualify, right?
we'll be alright....I trust the staff no matter what I am sure Q will qualify but I havnt read anything about hendrix.
Alright, lsusports.net says Green and Wright's papers are signed and in. That concludes this class. We need an 08 thread now.
Alright, sorry if I'm reopening this thread, when we have a '08 thread, but I was bored and thought I'd just post how some of our recruits are doing given the early-mid year progress of high school hoops. Clearly, this is a class all about Anthony Randolph. The kid is tearing it up in Texas, averaging 24.7 ppg to date, and leading his 6-6 Wildcats against pretty stiff competition (he doesn't have a great supporting cast, although he's got a decent jr PG in Nathan Garth). If we all assume Glen is going to be leaving after this year, Randolph steps in nicely to complement a more experienced line up of very good guards and wings. But, I was more interested in Brady's "sleeper" picks. So far, Garrett Green has been unimpressive at Taft, and I wonder really if the Tigers stretched too far based upon a good summer ball showing. Not sure what the deal is, but Garrett has only played in three games... not too impressive of stats in those games shooting at a poor % all the way across. http://www.maxpreps.com/FanPages/Pl...thleteID-9bbb9a64-316c-40e3-8389-d4e1c0cfdfd4 DJ Wright is likely to be a strong competitor. His current Canadian stats are hard to come by, but something tells me he's going to be a player. Could he be the next Terry Martin or Tas Mitchell in fact? Hard to compare him to a current player that has yet to really make a name for himself, but the recent success of Terry suggests that LSU has long needed a 6-6/6-7 guy who could handle, shoot it consistently and bomb the three. http://www.hooplife.ca/viewArticle.php?section=commitments&id=16 http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Basketball/News/2006/12/16/2824565-sun.html Lastly, Q Thornton has had a solid year so far. Averaging 11 ppg, 6.4 rpg, shooting .557 from the field, and over 1 block and steal per game, as a starter on a balanced Odessa JC team. You'd like to see his FT% alot higher (currently .51%) though, and so that's going to be an issue--but, something tells me he will get a fair share of time given that he's already got the muscle and toughness to help down low. http://www.odessa.edu/sports/teams/basketball/stats/2006-2007stats.htm For those that care, HoopsUSA's 2007 wrap up rankings has LSU at #14: http://www.hoopsusa.com/frm_story.cfm?a=681 :geauxtige :bball: :champs: LSU IS A BASKETBALL SCHOOL. SIX NBA LOTTERY PICKS ... AND COUNTING.
