Not sure where you think the cheating came from. The horse collar was clear. There was clearly a second left on the clock when the ball hit the ground. That had to be overturned. Nebraska cannot kick that ball out of bounds under any circumstance. The horse collar was unfortunate and I can't blame the most aggressive defense I have seen in many years on that one.
I knew Nebraska lost when on their last possession they were satisfied with going for 3 instead of trying to maintain possession of the ball with a first down. Great. They made their three points. And they lost. They just did not use good clock management: did not use up enough clock. Texas had 1:44 left and all three time outs. I was pretty certain they would not be able to stop Texas from scoring the game-winning field goal.
With as bad as their offense performed tonite, Bo played it just right. No way would I have had Lee go back to throw the ball. I do wish they would have been a bit more inventive on 2nd and 3rd down runs. That I can agree on. If Nebraska kicks the ball deep and keeps Texas at about the 20 like they had all night long and don't have a silly 15 yard penalty thrown in there somewhere, Texas would not have gotten in FG range. I was pretty sure it was over when I saw that ball trickle out of bounds on the kickoff.
