Does Doucet still play for the Cards? If so, that makes 4 former Tigers on that team. I'm still a Who Dat first and foremost, but will pull for Az in every game except against the Saints.
Same was said about Bob Sanders. He was 5 foot 8 and if not for injuries would have been in the Ed Reed Troy P conversation every year, who were 5 foot 11 and 5 foot 10 respectively. Mathieu has instincts like none I've ever seen. He'll be fine.
As long as he doesn't blow his money on drugs, keeps his nose clean, and uses his head. I would love to see him do what he did at LSU, but he has to want it bad enough to have the discipline needed to make it. None of this "I can stop anytime I want" crap.
You know what's fucked up, if he would have just had the sense to buy some clean urine, and stayed the hell away from Jordan Jefferson, none of this would have ever been an issue. He would have continued to smoke, not harming anyone, not doing anything wrong, and played this past season, entered the draft and would have been drafted higher. Pot is harmless, but it's so fucking tabboo by idiots, this kid was run through the ringer over some bullshit. What's going to happen when recreational use is legalized? Is he still going to be a thug? Is he still going to be a bad person? No, he was never either. He was naive. And about 99.9 percent of everyone who chastized him were sitting back drinking beer and liquor everyday, each of which are far more dangerous and stupid to use than pot. This is the equivalent of the ridiculous BYU no sex rule. off the soap box now....
Really like Honey Badger, but if I had to bet money I'd bet he flames out... http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--n...raise-red-flags-in-nfl-circles-191551286.html
As much as I'm rooting for the guy, the yahoo article pretty much sums up my thoughts. I think it's always going to be something with him. Everyone talks about how hard he has worked since rehab and how weed isn't a problem and he " doesn't want to be that guy any more" but don't forget, he was arrested during that period of time. I'm afraid he's just a guy that can't do the things that are expected of him. I really hope I'm wrong because with some focus, he could really be a kind of player we haven't seen before.
I hope he does great things in the NFL, but I am afraid he will not make it to Pre-Season. He's lived a charmed life, based on his football skills, was cut too much slack, blind eyes were turned, but now, it is all about money. Money talks, BS walks. I sure hope I am wrong!
Everyone just keep doubting him. If he fucks up ill be the first to admit I'm a dumbass, but I think he is gonna be a beast.
