I think it goes far beyond the JJ man crush. LSU showed no focus, no gameplan, no adaptation, etc. I know keeping and protecting JJ played a part of it but still. The LSU team we seen all year didnt show up for this game. Thats what frustrates me. Bama is a hell of a team, even at their best I could see them possibly beating LSU. But since LSU won the first game in their place and to show up like they did is unacceptable. Bama came to play and LSU didnt.

I also am tired of the excuses that Bama shouldnt have been in the game. Its not fair to have to beat a team twice. Blah, blah, blah. Fact is life isnt fair. Personally I feel under the current system you should win your conference but oh well. Bama was the team put in the game, you have to play who is in front of you. You want to go down as an all time great team you have to play who is in front of you. No doubt Bama was the second best team and much more of a threat that Ok St or Stanford.

I don't know why people feel the need to keep bashing this loss. I mean, it's a loss. So, we move on like any other team/fans would. It was a huge loss yes, but the game is over, some of the playing pieces won't be back, and we have a new season to look forward to. I don't know what happened with Les or the players this time, and I really don't care anymore. Answers? We don't need answers now... it's over. Knowing won't change a damn thing. Best thing we can do is rally behind the guys and await the reckoning.

I love the fire from TM7. I hope that the rest of the team is this fired up. I know one thing; the recruits from Breaux Bridge are ready to play. They were utterly disgusted by the loss and want to dominate early on. Geaux Tigers!

Not knowing or understanding what happened makes me fear that this scenario is bound to be repeated... hence the want to understand it. These are college, unpaid players, I have no problem with them. Les is a professional. There is a certain competence that is expected by anyone holding themselves out to be proficient in any area in life. A medical specialist is considered to be better in his field than a general practitioner, etc. At the point Les does his job for the love of game only, as the players in college generally are, then I won't expect as much. I love my Tigers as much as anyone. I refuse to condone incompetence in a person holding themselves out to be a professional in their chosen field. If Les was a doctor, I suspect he currently would have a malpractice suit against him.

That is why some fans would like to know what happened. The second half seemed to have no fight in the coach, no sign of a want to win. That's what has me befuddled, leaving the bad taste in my mouth.

That being said, I know the players love him, and he in turn respects them. Les also wins most of his games. He qualifies as a good coach.

I still like Charley Mac. Doesn't mean he was Bear Bryant.

Much of Les' criticism will always boil down to his public perception as the George W. Bush of college football coaches: people who are convinced he doesn't know what he's doing because he has a goofy personality and isn't good in front of cameras and mics.

The funny thing is I never see anyone criticizing Saban's preparedness when he drops a BCS game against an at-large team. Nobody in the sports media, or even among non-SEc or casual fans, ever questions his motivation skills when he loses to teams he has no business losing to under any circumstances. And a lot of it is because of the stick-up-the-azz demeanor he always has and the national perception that he's the best coach who ever has or ever will grace college football.

Football isn't a science or a computer program. You don't throw in X amount of motivation, Y amount of game planning, and Z amount of talent/coaching, and out comes a predictable result. It's really a wonderful microcosm of life. Sometimes you can do all the right things to put yourself in a position to succeed and still fail when it comes time to execute. It's not necessarily an indictment of the coach.

You know as well as anyone that no one would be criticizing CLM if LSU would have at least pretended to show up to win. You can't make a comparison between Saban and CLM in this last game. LSU could have lost the game with no negative critique ... if they would have shown a little "want to win". IF the CLM would have shown a little "want to win". But .. I didn't see any of that ... did you??? I saw him stubborn as hell, making no on the spot adjustments, calling the same 8 plays all game long, .. and quite frankly ..it looked like he was thinking about something other than the game.

There is no sin in comming up with a game plan and it falling flat .. but not adjusting it when it goes terribly wrong is a topic worthy of critique. Great Coaches don't sit on the sideline and continue to get their butts handed to them while not changing a dang thing.

I've already noted ..the short pass was there .. but CLM didn't stay with it. He was intent on running the ball .. and it cost him. A good coach would have emphasized what was working. If Bama is giving you the short pass .. then you take it until they shut it down. You let that success open up other options. But .. it seemed as CLM didn't give rodents rectum what the heck was going on on the field.

I agree. Most of the times setbacks make you hungry. Got to love TM7.

Or the free pass Saban gets for blowing a 21 point lead at home to their archrival allowing them to win the nc. If that was les the media and our fan base would have burned him at the stake. Such hypocrisy. Miles is tied head to head against your your favorite coach.

You know if losing a football game is such a devastating event.one you had no part in actually. You should find a hobby. News flash LSU will lose again. So will Alabama USC and others.

Also people need to let the ole miss game go. People still latch onto that.. Miles human people. If You are so great at coaching football. Grab a clipboard and work your way up the ranks and apply for a top ranked college football team. Until then. Enjoy the 13-1 seasons. Multiple bowl wins. Blow out wins of conference champions and realize the other teams are also good and sometimes its just not your day and support the kids and coach who put it on the line each day for your entertainment...

CAp one bowl fiasco ? I hope and pray you are not blaming miles for that. Or if anytime LSU loses. Its a fiasco ? You people do realize that other teams play football as well right and in a game one wins an one loses... Geez only fiasco at the cap one bowl was the field which eliminate LSUs strength. It's speed..

    Geez
