There is a faction of the "fanbase" (and I use the term "fan" lightly) that has a want for Miles to fail. They don't like him, never have, and never will. During the 13-0 run, they were largely silent, but just waiting for an opportunity to lurk out of the shadows and say "I told you so."

The "I told you so" types are always a bore.

 

My (one sided) relationship with Miles has been a roller coaster. From a thumbs up in the beginning to a complete lack of faith and trust (after the Ole Miss - Capitol 1 Bowl - Tennessee fiasco's), then back up to man crush, and finally bewilderment. He is not a Mack Brown. He actually wins big games.

If LSU does not develop into a 2 dimensional offense next year "by a percentage more" then our relationship will again be on rocky waters.

 

Loved reading the tweets, I think this team and the coaching staff will learn from that last game. Geaux Tigers!

 

Let me start off by saying the BCSCG was unacceptable and something that should not happen. I know sometimes youll have your bad days but that was just beyond acceptable and comprehension. I put the overwhelming majority on Miles for not having the team focused. For not making ANY adjustments. For showing ZERO balls. What happened to the Mad Hatter? He wasnt at all playing to win.

All that said, Miles is NOT that bad of a coach. Im not sure if he bought into the hype as well? But something went wrong. Miles did a great job this season despite the distractions. He kept the team focused. While Ive never been fully sold on Miles as a top tier coach he certainly isnt on a hot seat. The only way he is on a hot seat is if the team continues the play it did in the BCSCG. LSU should run the table again or lose one game. Bama will be good, but are losing too much. UF isnt quite back just yet. Auburn will be better but still have catching up to do. Ark is always tough for LSU.

I respect Miles the man. I just am not all the way sold on Miles the coach. I was sold on him again until the BCSCG. Please CLM prove me wrong. I think youre a great person that the players gravitate to and love. I know youre a better coach than you showed.
