Home: 29 Total TDs, 3 turnovers Away: 13 Total TDs, 11 turnovers Probably the biggest disparity in NFL history.
Yep, just posted a comment about this in another thread. Can't be beat at home, can't do anything on the road. I don't put this entirely on Drew. Most of it, but not all of it. Only 1 sack given up today. I don't understand why we can't put together a great game on the road. Hope we aren't one and done.
Drew got screwed on the yard record. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...t-passing-record-1-yard-7-225908744--nfl.html
Didn't see that before. Like the article said, its not unheard of for the NFL to change stats after-the-fact. I wonder how this would be treated if the New Orleans media chose to make an issue of it? My guess is, they let it go; not to intentionally screw Brees, but because Denver chose to sit Manning for the entire 2nd half of the game, believing he had the record. Obviously had they felt he was 6 yards short they'd have played him and he'd have gotten it anyway.
According to ESPN, it's under review and will probably be changed. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/201...ning-denver-broncos-lose-passing-yards-record
Even though it was clearly a lateral, the NFL is not reversing Manning's original stat line, so he officially breaks Drew's record. I hate the NFL.
Well, like I said earlier....he sat the entire second half. Had they ruled that play a run from the start, Manning would have just gone out to start the third and got the record a little later. Here's a stat for you that no one in the present - not Manning, not Brady, not Rodgers, probably not even Wilson or Luck - will touch..... 5,000 yard passing seasons. Drew Brees - 4 Every other QB in the history of the NFL combined - 4
