Before this game we had only trailed 1:15.........all year. We actually had to come back and make plays to win this one...on the road...in a very hostile environment. C'mon islstl, you know what i'm talking about, man.
Nobody was better than us last year.. sorry. Good game tonight.. can't wait to face you next year with a more mature QB.
Oh, I'll give you that. I would also say JPW did not pass the test. He was not good enough tonight. Of course meaning winning the SEC CG and the NC. He just isn't the answer. And if we were able to stop your running game cold, that doesn't bode well vs Florida.
Good game Red, your team played better and deserved the win. However much like I felt after watching Gawga against LSU, I give Florida the edge in your game. Florida's D is every bit as good as LSU's but their offense is on an entirely different level. The Tide will have to play their best game of the year and hope for some luck to beat the gaytors.
The real question is can you finally get past Auburn. They won't just lay down for you, that's for sure. You guys being #1, oh boy. I look for an exciting game.
The defense did play much, much better today - but it did look like a lot of the Tigers on D were tackling high - perhaps going for a strip - rather than taking the Bama players to the ground. (Who knows? Maybe that's what they are coached to do. Things have changed since I played HS football in the 60's) :geaux:
I'll be rooting for Bama in the SECCG. I hate Florida so completely. Urban Mayer is an A$$. Beat 'em by 1 or beat 'em by 20, I want Florida to go down. As we speak, they're pummelling Vandy 42-0 and still throwning the long ball. I long for the day that LSU can do the same to FLA (and CLM gets called an A$$ by a fan of another team).
