Judgement day will come for Holliday on June 29. That is the date of the Olympic Trials men's 100 meters semifinals and final. For those of you who want to see it live, the final will be broadcast live at 6:49 P.M. C.S.T. on NBC. Only three spots are available, and hopefully, Xavier Carter and Trindon will get two of them, but it won't be easy. However, even if Trindon doesn't finish in the top three, he should secure a spot on the 4x100 relay team by finishing in the top six. In the meantime, here is a video and picture of Holliday anchoring LSU's 4x100 relay team to victory last weekend at the Texas Relays: http://www.flocasts.org/flotrack/coverage.php?c=233&id=13058
I found a pretty awesome video from 2007 on that link you provided. I would have figured Dix would be running anchor. http://www.flocasts.org/flotrack/races.php?vid=2365
Many coaches prefer to put their fastest person on the second leg. That's the leg that Xavier Carter ran when he was at LSU and that's the leg that Richard Thompson runs now.
No boycott as things stand now, but the ChiComs PR machine is not nimble and they have misplayed the Tibet thing pretty badly already. They desperately want the Olympics to showcase their "enlightened society" to the world, but if the "trouble-makers" (you know, those that don't think what they got is so hot) start acting up, then anything can still happen. Also wouldn't be at all surprized to see Taiwan or N. Korea try to pull something they would never do, if Bejing wasn't bent on presenting a cleaned-up image for the time being. I think GWB will probably be there, but Pelosi, Hillary, et al. will be far away preoccupied with throwing molotovs at Bush for "aiding and abetting". They're just warming up their arms right now. Let games go on!
Football. The NCAA requires that two-sport athletes be on a football scholarship to prevent football teams from adding extra players by getting them scholarships in minor sports.
