USC claims no knowlege of payments to Mayo: ESPN - Report: USC to tell NCAA it banned Guillory from getting tickets - Men's College Basketball
The ignorance card can only be played so many times. Seems like a school would start making it a point to know...course, this stuff goes on a lot at MANY schools so they do know. Some get caught...many never do. When you get caught though, you gotta pay the piper. This is horse****. How do you "Ban" someone from receiving tickets? Unless they mean from the school itself. Also, it's being reported that he was seen around the basketball offices, and locker room. I guess they didn't try to ban him from those. I find his choice of the word, "Family" intriguing here. I could say you gave my family nothing when you had actually given ME something and technically, be correct. Also interesting along the RB lines currently on-going.
Also from that same LA Times article: Great source. I suppose it's extremely rare for a college athlete to have a flat screen TV in their dorm/apartment. Haven't seen this one before. Perhaps time and evidence will prove me wrong but I will withhold judgement for now.
I don't think even HE can answer that right now. He's signed an LOI with USC so he'd have to be given a release if he wants to leave........that is still up in the air. Since he was a package deal with lil Romeo rolleye33, I don't know to what extent that plays into his decision. Having gone public with his concerns, some fans are not real thrilled with him at the moment. There are also concerns about the level of involvement with his family (dad and half brother). He's being looked at by some as another one and done player. I'm sick of that mentality. I don't know what the answer is but college basketball is NOT going the right direction IMO. The pendulum has swung from booster payments to agent involvement. One keeps the player there, the other wants them to go pro. A cluster ****.
Seems like a really messed up situation. From what I have heard his mother is sick so he would like to stay close to home, but there is no way USC will release him to a PAC-10 team. Plus you have Lil Romeo but he wont get a ship anywhere else. I heard he contacted Carolina but I doubt Roy Williams wants a one and done guy. Just curious b/c the dude is a baller but seems a little crazy. The should have to stay two years minimum and three would be ideal. That way the ones that want to go right to the league can go overseas or sit out a year and college coaches will have a better feel for these guys. Not to mention there would be WAY fewer agents in the college game, which is the biggest problem.
