Hogville.net doing a replay of last years Tidefans.com HILARIOUS READING

I was just reading some of the posts on hogville.net. It is an exact replay of the posting Bama was doing last year when Saban joined Bama. It's hilarious to read the identical posts defending the hiring of Petrino and trashing everyone else. They are all drinking the Kool Aid big time. I wonder if a Bama fan reading the Hogs board agrees with how they are defending their new coach. And of course they are trashing LSU and our coach. Does Bama or
Ar-Kansas know our coach and team are playing for the national championship?

 

They're bashing us because of jealousy, pure and simple. They would love to be where we are. We'd better get used to everyone hatin on us, we're the hunted now.

They can laugh at our coaches hat, deride his decisons, call us corndogs, it doesn't matter, right now, we're the team in the SEC and most can't stand it.

We just need to win on the 7th, lock up a good DC and recruiting class, and keep on keepin on.

 

This must be what Florida felt like in the 90's. As long as LSU fans don't start wearing jorts, I'm cool with this.

 

Yes, it's an adjustment for our team to be the hunted week in and week out. It is also true as fans, especially on discussion boards like this. If we lose the Trolls appear instantly. When we win the Trolls disappear just as fast.

It's just amazing how the line of defense Arky fans are using on Petrino is exactly the same as Bama fans used last year with Saban. I wonder if the media is going to come up with something cleaver to call the Bama/Arkansas game next year. They hate on Saban and Petrino so much it will be interesting to see what story line they give the game next year.

Then, after the best three seasons in LSU history, including three 10 win season, a BCS bowl win, 2 SEC west titles, a SEC Title and a trip to the National Championship game, there are still those that don't like him.

Interesting to talk to a couple of Hog fans I know about Petrino being their coach. Both used the word 'embarrassed' in describing their feelings. But these guys are definitely in the minority.

 

Arkansas did a terrific job of hiring a terrific coach. They are just feeling their oats and that is understandable. The Hog fans have every right to be proud. So let them have their day; don't begrudge them that. But legitimate bragging rights will not be earned until the end of the 2008 season.

 

The psychological term for this condition is "Self denial"...:insane:

 

also...arky thought their win in TS ruined our season...they thought it took something treasured away from us...they thought, because of them, there was no way in hell we'd see the crystal this year except on tv...they were sure their evil ways had put us down to the sugar (or in their eyes, perhaps worse)...

they did not count on CLM staying...

they did not count on the hard core dedication and intestinal fortitude it took for us to get through the garbage and beat tennessee...

yes, jealous...of our team...of the integrity of our coach...of the attention we get now...of our dominance in the west...of the chance we have in the dome...r-kansas is jealous because we are TIGERS (and they know they never will be)
