HOF LSU Coach Charlie McClendon: disappointment or not?

It is still rare to see LSU baseball games on TV, even today. So what? I still follow them as much as I follow the football team. Did you not follow LSU football as much back in the days they weren't on TV as much as you do now?

I went to the games back then.......we had season tickets.....my father just passed his down to my bother......I still make at least two home games a year now.......back in the 60's and 70's we went to most away games as well............my point is the media was not the same back then......

 

AMAZING POST!! Why is it if anyone questions the direction of the team after watching/attending a few games and seeing GLARING issues, they are labeled as lesser fans? It is an incredibly immature stance. In fact, I could argue that...since it brings so much pain to these fans that they cry out for it to stop...they are BIGGER fans. Other than the occasional flame post from rivals, there isn't anything written here from people who aren't LSU fans...whether it's postive or realistic.

You not only disgraced Charlie Mac with this one, but you have dumped on individual forum members...much more highly respected than you, by the way...with totally false accusations. Even after your ignorant continuance of a debate that you so clearly lost the other night, I stated I respect you. You have now lost that respect, although I'm sure you'll just write me off as another member of the "Miles is a zero" crowd. But I guarantee you won't ever find a bigger LSU fan OR :miles: fan than Fishhead.

My point is:

1) Charlie Mac was a great coach and everybody agrees with this.

2) Being that Les has done better than Charlie Mac did at this point in Coach Mac's career, what is with the loss of faith in Coach Miles, the talk about Les like he is a disappointment to LSU?

And no, I'm not talking about people who give honest critic of the team, putting out stuff like how we have the #109 offense in the NCAA (now #112), the worse offense in the SEC, etc. And I've made this clear over and over.

I'm talking about people who have lost faith in Coach Les and think he is a disappointment to LSU. And yeah, you can say "I don't see anybody doing this," and that's fine. But I do. And I'm not talking about you, so quit being so paranoid.

 

You specifically called out ISLSTL and Lasalle. Find me a post where one of them said something about Miles winning with Saban's recruits? I haven't seen either of them saying COACH MILES is a disappointment. I HAVE seen them...others...and yours truly...expressing disappointment in the way the season has progressed thus far. If you aren't disappointed in the performance of the LSU offense...which is where most of the criticism is aimed...then YOU are not a fan...because you obviously don't even watch the games.

FWIW, ISLSTL is currently predicting in another thread that LSU will win this AU game 41-14! Yeah, he really has lost the faith. :dis:

 

You know, now that I think about it, I think ISLSTL is the single most positive person on this forum. During recruiting, he is constantly calculating figures to prove how LSU is about to break the recruiting record of all time...even though it's only November of that particular year. He's constantly tweaking his BCS predictions to show how LSU will end up in the big game. He makes silly predictions like:
1)LSU 41 AU 14
2)JJ 330 yds passing
3)RS 78 yds rushing

Well, that explains your hysteria. No, when I say islstl, lasalle and friends, I'm not talking about you or Okie. I've never seen the either of you two say anything negative about LSU football.

 

Yes, he is positive when it comes to recruiting. I actually say how he was being positive in a recruiting thread the other day, saying something about how he wanted to use the power of positive thinking to will Justin Hunter (currently a 4-star recruit) into being a 5-star recruit. And I was going to write back to him "how in the hell are you so positive about LSU recruiting, but so negative about LSU's coaching staff?"

 

Yet you fail to bring to the table a quote that backs up your claim. Show me where ISLSTL OR Lasalle indicated Miles is a zero. I know you can do it. You have the power to consume an entire page with magazine covers trying to prove another one of your idiotic beliefs. Surely you can find one post where ISLSTL stated Miles sucks or Lasalle stated Miles must go.
