I was the first vote in favor of Coach Mac, in case you were too dumb to get that. :insane:

COTiger, this is the second time I have asked you to explain what is so confusing to you. Can you do so?

Dude if you are really trying to contend that we had the same or even half the coverage of college sports back then as we do today, then there isn't anything I can do for you. You have lost your mind.

Um, you're the guy that wrote this, remember:

you must not have been watching much college sports back then, the only teams televised were UCS, UM, Bama, ND, and a few others. Also, the media and the Internet were non existent back then for fans to know what we have access to now.

    My reply to that was:

Radio has been everywhere since the 1920's. How do you think people like Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and Mickey Mantle became so famous across the USA?

The telephone was invented in 1876. The telegraph was around before that. Newpapers have been around since the creation of the USA. The Baton Rouge Advocate has been printed daily in Baton Rouge since 1889. The AP Poll started in 1934 and the Coaches Poll started during the 1950-1951 season. TV was commercially available since the late 1930s.

During those four years I'm taking about, '58-'61, LSU was on NBC four times and on ABC two times.

You are unable to interpret basic conversation. You started a thread that debated whether or not Cholly Mac was a disappointment. THAT is disrespectful

Then you reveal your true motive and start talking about Miles and comparing stats of coaches. First you take a giant dump on a LSU legend. Then once you have everyone's attention you bring up your real point.

See how despicable you are now? No? Well, everyone else does so don't worry about it.

I never said I would appreciate Coach Mac. Show me where I said that. What I did say is that that I wish that I could have gone and seen some of his teams play.

I don't whine about football. It's too trivial. I rather whine about true disappointments in life. (for reference, go look in your mirror)

    Waaaa?

First of all, I honestly think that any intelligent person would realize that I think both Coach Miles and Coach Mac are great LSU coaches, hence the whole point of this thread. Granted, from my experience I have found that I'm not that great at teaching 4th-grade minds, for example. I'm not saying you have the mind of a 4th-grader, I'm just saying I'm not that great at communicating to everybody on this planet.

Second, you cry about how I discuss facts about Coach Mac, even call me "despicable," "a true disappointment," etc because of this, then you say you might not have even have appreciated Coach Mac back had you got to see him play? That doesn't make your venom make any sense. (Except for a personal problem with me, perhaps?)
