It's a funny thing. The Coaches ... seem to think LSU is the best team in the nation. The AP, who ever they are, seem to think LSU is the best team in the nation. Harris ... who ever they are .. seem to think LSU is the best team in the nation. BCS ... while dependent on the coaches and Harris ... rank LSU #1 One would think that the team most people think is the best team in the nation would be at least be expected to give any other team a great game, and likely win it. It seems the only people who don't think LSU is the best team in the nation are the folks at ESPN. Hmmmm ??
Whatever it takes to keep the ratings up....the more controversial they are, the more people watch. The more people watch, the more they can charge for commercials.
I think the thing that gets me is all this bogus "comparison" crap. Who says Bama's D is better than LSU's?? They haven't played the same teams. .. and their stats are not like miles apart. Who the hell can prove that Saban is a better coach than CLM. .. I mean, that's like asking a dude who he thinks is the hottest girl. Trent Richardson .. yeah ..he's good, and so are a bunch of other backs. But Ware is good as well. He gets the job at hand done ...and that is all that really matters. What I see is a bunch of guys fooling themselves. It's as if they tell themselves enough times that Bama will win, that that will make it so. I look at these two teams .. and yes, I've watched Bama play, and I don't see the Roman Gods running around in Red Shirts .. .I see a football team that is as fallable as the next. As whoever said it .. LSU has that "it" factor. Since everyone on the LSU team is great, nobody rises above to appear as a superstar. But you guys are probably right .. it's just ratings. .. combined wiht lobbying for their dreamed of media matchup of OU vs Bama in the NC.

WHO CARES! I'm sick of hearing this from fellow Tiger AND Saints fans! That's how it's always been, & now that we are in the golden era of Tiger & Saints football, ESPN still refuses to give us credit & to pick against us, but so what! We always make them look stupid when we dominate the team they said lose to! Let them say what they want. We should all have thick skin by now. At least I can understand Herbie & R. Smith's hate for us...they're Oh. St. alums that are still bitter we stomped them in the BCSNCG in 07', & they realize now that the SEC is king of NCAA football, & it's going to be like that for a loooooong time. They can't stand it!
