You're right about that one. The proper response is almost always to secure the ball and don't think return. Beckwith did the right thing against Bama, it was up to the offense to make them pay for it.

We're talking about the QB position. Clearly Miles has no problem benching a WR or RB for a drop or fumble, but he refuses to sit his QB when he is ineffective, fumbles, or throws INTs.

Some want to play for next year, some want to win this year. I don't know a player or a coach on this team that doesn't want to win this year.

In the OT against bama, we start out with a pass, then people are yelling, you've been running all night. If they run the ball an fail, you've been running all night, they knew it was coming

a qb's one requirement in all offenses besides les miles is to pass. if he cant pass, you go to option b. regardless you keep moving down the line til at least requirement 1 is met.

this isnt about winning this or next year. its about finding a qb since we dont have one behind center currently.

The company line is that Jennings is the better option. Forget what your eyes have shown you.

The fact that Les thinks Jennings is better is the reason this team will fail.

Yep, every avenue should be at least considered if not attempted, even if Clise turns out to be the more effective option. If not, then why are they holding roster spots.

This is a GD joke. That couldn't have been handled worse...

Setting - JJs freshman year (2008)
Lee isn't ready; neither is JJ. Let's ride Lee till the saddle falls off, at least that experience will cause him to get a lot of experience quickly and benefit us down the road.

    Year 2 (2009)
Well, Lee is a head case but JJ hasn't gotten much on the field experience; lets ride JJ till the saddle falls off. It didn't work last year, but we can cross our fingers and hope.

    Year 3 (2010)
Welp, we've proven we can win games wo a QB, let's keep riding JJ and let head case ride the bench.

    Year 4 (2011)
Guess we gotta play Lee, JJs gone and crossed the law. Huh, maybe head case isn't a head case and did benefit from being thrown to the wolves and then left to rot on the bench. He'll do until we can get JJ back. Oh, and let's not get this Mett kid any on field experience. Ok JJ, we're undefeated and Lee is hurt/struggling. Do your thing and don't worry about Lee, he's going back to rot on the bench. You're our guy.

    Year 5 (2012)
Welp, back to the ride that horse till it's dead show.

    Year 6 (2013)
Mett is awesome. Let's not get this guy Jennings any play time; that's worked so well in the past.

    Year 7 (2014)
Ride that pony till it's dead. If all this character building gets jennings relegated to 100% bench duty and we start Harris 100% of the time after getting few looks this year, I'll expect nothing but success as we've seen in the past.
