Exactly how many times has a team replaced a coach off of a recent championship season, with another coach that sustained the program for another decade, without either coach getting said program on probation in the process? Once. What makes you think this is going to happen again anytime soon? Much less at the same place, in succession. Oh and Skip Bertman ain't the AD at LSU anymore.
I'm not saying it will or it won't. And I'm surely not putting a time table on it. I'm just adding to the discussion by pointing out that pretty much everyone hated the Miles hire and it worked out ok, so if/when Miles does leave, regardless of how it happens, that the next coach of the team is not automatically destined to fail.
Just about everyone in the SEC West has a winning record against CLM so far this year, so pick any of those coaches. But on the positive side CLM still has a chance to go 2-4 in the West if he can beat A&M. I guess if going 2-4 in your own division makes you the #2 coach in that division then losses must outweigh wins. Not sure if you watched the Florida - SC game, but the Harris kid was throwing short passes because they are grooming him, and he did rush for 111 yards. We believe we had a total of 123 yards against Arkansas.
