100 years ago today Prince Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. That is why we are dealing with Iraq and Afghanistan today.
Oh you haji's never know oh no you haji's never know no you haji's never know, how you make a yank feel.
Quit being so melodramatic. Do the math. That led to WWI. WWI led to WWII. WWII led to the division of the Middle East and a Jewish homeland. That led to the turmoil of today. So if you see it as cause and effect then you see how this situation became. One assassination and the rest is history.
1500 years ago Mohammed survived childbirth. That is why we are dealing with Iraq and Afghnaistan today.
I like that. I go back to current affairs and you go back to the creation of the world. That goddamn big bang.
The assassination of the Archduke might have precipitated WWI a bit earlier than it might have happened, the tensions between nations was such that the war was inevitable whether somebody shot some duke or not.
Absolutely correct.. The Kaiser was a loon whose lack of self esteem was driving him to war with France and if needed Russia. The French were eager to avenge their loss in the Franco Prussian war and recover Alsace & Lorraine. The Austrians were after the Serbs (a threat to their empire)and vice versa. The Russians while they were not ready for war were bound to help the Serbs. Europe was a nest of vipers ready to strike out. BTW the Brits saw the Germans as a threat to their empire of the seas when the Kaiser built a navy to challenge the British so they allied with the Frogs who as I noted were slathering to teach those pesky Huns a thing or two.
