I would have liked someone younger too, but 60 is by no means old... He could give us 10 years or so, and as we all know, LSU generally gets the "it's not me it's you" syndrome long before then... FWIW - O made 60 this year, yall thinking he was even remotely close to retiring if he hadn't gotten shit-canned?
If he gives LSU 6-10 very good years, builds the program back up, gets us moved away from the title 9 stuff and restores some semblance of a good, clean program............ and can compete for SEC titles and maybe win a Natty, then the hire will be a great success. All 3 of LSU's last coaches won Natty's, I'm not sure how many programs can say that? I like the hire better than Fisher, Kiffin, Riley, Tucker, Franklin, O'Brien for sure. As someone mentioned, we have an adult coaching now, I think that will go a long way
