when I seen this live....I lost my shit when it happened I started jumping up and yelling and my Buddy was like what dude....I told him to watch the play again...then he seen it and went ape shit too.
All I can say is WOW! If Mathieu wasn't so great as a D back and kick returner it would be interesting to see him at running back. Even Barry Sanders never made any moves better than what was on that video
tm7 may have the best football instincts and will ive ever seen in a player. yesterday with the game on the line against the eagles, foles threw a pass to riley cooper who is 6'4 to the side of the ez and mathieu (5'8 or so) was guarding him. He jumped/dove at the last second and his hand was almost 2 feet higher than coopers then knocked the ball away. this is after his knee surgery. he made a similar play later. peterson was hurt in the 1Q. not sure his status.
Concussion for Peterson. What impresses me about Ty also was the hit on Foles he got wrongfully flagged for. Mathieu could have destroyed him but instead Foles who is out of the pocket btw takes a small shoulder pop to Foles. He has even now adapted his game to rules. Pound for pound Ty in my opinion greatest player in LSU history.
you can leave the pound for pound out of it for me. unfortunately it was only about a year and a half of play.
