Perhaps not on the level that you or I or Shane have experienced as members of the military because everything is black and white, cut and dry when it comes to regulations in the military. however, the state department, the cia, the fbi and every other governmental agency has their own protocols for what does and does not constitute as classified materials. if anything about this is alarming, this is it.

 

You cannot prosecute someone for documents that were deemed classified years after they were originally sent and received. This very same thing happened to General Colin Powell when he was the SOS. He used a personal e-mail and server and 12 years after he left his post the state department retroactively classified a lot of emails that were sent using his personal e-mail account. This is a common practice. To compare security measures of the military with that of the state department, FBI, CIA, NSA is a fools game. Each of those agencies have their own protocol for classifying materials and they are often at odds with one another.

They are also the ONLY ones that can lower said classification. The bitch has a stack of documents that no longer have a header AND the issuing agency has been on record saying "they were classifies at the time they were written and remain so today"

So if the NSA classified them, said they never declassified them how are they in her grubby little hands sans a header? The answer is she took it off.
