Look, she made no public statements as Secretary of State blaming the film for the fatal attack in Benghazi. But there were attacks on numerous other US embarrass going on at the same time that WERE related to the film, and street protests going on in dozens of muslim countries including one in Benghazi!

She wasn't the Secretary of Benghazi, she was Secretary of State and there was trouble all over that she was dealing with. Terrorists took advantage of the unrest to stage an attack. As Secretary, she was dealing with 35 embassies and consulates under threat, definitely caused by the film. Then a fatal attack that had terrorists hallmarks comes along. It is impossible to make the case that the unrest caused by the video is unrelated to the Benghazi attack.

So Clinton can quite honestly make the statement that the attack seemed like an Al Qaida attack. She can also honestly say that a video triggered the international unrest that culminated in Benghazi, but which was taken out on embassies around the world.

And third parties can misunderstand the difference.

As Secretary of State, we must assess her on her public statements, not on the recollections of others. You can believe what you want to. But I can honestly say that Hillary never made public statements to that effect. The email to Chelsea only corroborates that Hillary knew that it was a terrorist attack and not a riot out of control. And she never said that it wasn't. But she also knew very well. That the video caused the mass protests and those 35 embassy crises, including Benghazi.

That is what I am saying. I don't know how to make it any clearer for you. The eight investigations found nothing improper happened. You grasp at straws.

If you want to imagine that she lied to grieving parents for some reason, be my guest. Don't expect everybody to.

Two sentences, both absolutely true.

1. There was a heavy assault on the Benghazi Post.
2. Rage and violence was directed at many US embassies because of a hateful video .

A child can understand the difference. You have no case.

 

I spoke clearly and in context. Both of her statements are true, you have just been purposely confusing and conflating them in an attempt make nothing into something. Go ahead and add "context" if you wish. Nobody is fooled. You can't make her say something she did not say.

All this witch hunt is doing is bolstering Clinton.
