It would be awesome if Les would a hold a press conference and fire himself as oc but say he's still retaining himself as hc. Then maybe hire that Xbox madden kid I spoke of.
I guess you need to tell that to WVU this year, they need to know before they win all their games. Their game is just like a 7 on 7 strategy, the defense holds the other team once, we score everytime, we win.
Well I am willing to bet they will win the Big 12 rather easily, then you probably have another Auburn/Oregon type game that could easliy play out the same way.
I think they will still lose a game. When Oregon played AU, there D was 50X's better than what WVU is currently fielding. They basically put 11 guys out there to stand around.
For what it's worth I really don't think it is Mettenberger's fault. This is the 5th season of lackluster QB play and I don't believe that the talent isn't there. Whether it is development of the position or calling plays not suited to their strengths or the play calling as a whole...I link it directly to coaching.
