I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you. It's all about inept coaching! Whoda thunk? Why haven't you told us this before?
And yet, question after question you deflect answering to give is more drizzle. Got anything good to offer? Any real viable solutions? Not your Christmas wish list, a real upgrade that is viable and available now.
I share your frustration but my post still stands, No one will want to coach if you were to run off this coach. No matter how they look on the field, football is a game of wins and losses and this coach is way ahead of the game. You may not like it and I may not like it, maybe others don't always like it but it is the way it appears to be. I still remember some of the years in the 80's and 90's when we weren't near as good. I remember win losing 2 or 3 games was a good year. I don't remember having as many LSU players going 1st Round until the other coach was here and Les has taken over and done a very good job. It is what it is, I can understand the frustration here, I share it with some but things can always get a lot of worse. My kids receive therapy, we have therapists come to our house, I have learned there are always people worse off than yourself. There are plenty of schools wishing they had our problem but who knows what is in store the rest of the season, it might get better and it might get worse. This year reminds me of Jarrett Lee and JJ's first year at QB, our record may be similar this year but we will be better next year or the year after and I can see us having another serious run then. This year is a rebuilding year as far as I am concerned. Geaux Tigers!
I think there are exceptions to that rule and that game in January was just that. I don't care how good or deep a defense is, if they play the whole game vs a team like we played you are gonna lose. Your Defense also doesn't have the ability to score points like your offense does. There was absolutely no offense by LSU in that game, maybe I should look at the stats again, it has been 6 months but I don't remember any.
I didn't reference the Auburn game but then again Auburn isn't as good as Alabama or Florida, WE won the Auburn game. I was referencing the second Alabama game and that Fla game this week, 2 losses where we had very little to no offense and lost by a 8 points this past Saturday and had only 1 3rd down conversion that I remember? The defense played the whole game, if we would have had a little bit of offensive production, hmm, 1st and Goal at the 7? Chances are we would have won that game. I don't remember the final score of the NC Game but I believe a similar case could be made. I typically agree offense doesn't win championships Defense does but the two exceptions are those 2 losses. Our Defense played extremely well in each game. That is the only reason the games didn't get ugly. I can't stress it enough how well and hard our defense seems to always play. I only wish that was true for the offense, it is at best a work in progress, no different than some quarters in games last season.
Is that a serious question? Just in case it is I'll answer. The difference is like night and day, AU sucks, BAMA last year was damn good. You can get away with a lot against crappy teams you can't against good ones.
The needed changes shouldn't be written off as a Christmas wish list. Les Miles' stubbornness relegates those changes to that of a wish list. It's not any unreasonable expectations on my part.
However, you are wrong in everything. Miles has changed coaches each and every year in attempts to make this program better than the year before. You have zero evidence he will not work to fix the issues. ZERO.
Maybe they WORK FOR espn. Granny Holtz is available. He's won a national title. He may need a slur-to-ebonics interpreter though. lol
