I would have liked to see him utilized at QB in the wild cat, the way Trey Burton was used by Fla. It was the position he was used too and might have been more effective then his 4 years at LSU a bust.
I wouldn't want to see him do this exclusively, but for a change of pace and give the defense a new look and something else to prepare for, I'm all for it.
Exactly but I am not saying exclusively, I know Burton or the other QB lined up at WR yesterday, we know RS can catch the ball but I really believe he should have been on the field more in his 4 years, if nothing else, if he has trouble at WR he would have made a good decoy. There are many ways to use him and at this point it seems like his 4 years are a bust and a disappointment.
Its amazing how many ignorant morons are fans of LSU. So many are incapable of evaluating evidence and all they can do is parrot what their drunk, idiot friends, neighbors, and relatives say. "Chavis is good, Miles is bad. Fire Miles." Ever consider that if you fire Miles that chances are high that Chavis is gone also? Be careful what you ask for, morons.
Here is another question, if you fired Les Miles with his record at LSU, who would want to come and coach here? Whatever the issues here we have to learn to live with them, there will be years like this but I think next year should be better, we should be almost as good as last year. This year is a rebuilding year, losing 3 games in a rebuilding year is a good thing compared to where we were about 15 years ago. We use to lose 2 or 3 games during the good years. Even if we are disappointed this year the status of LSU Football is still Quite Wonderful, I am a realist but you have to also keep perspective of the overall picture in place.
Exactly! The reason UF was successful on 3rd and short, because they kept our STELLAR defense off balance just enough to pick the 2 or 3 yards needed. They lined up in the same formation, but had so many weapons to account for, they were successful. Why not line up Shep at QB with Ware, Cope, and Ford in the backfield, as well as Landry or ODB in motion....who is getting the ball??? Oh he is.....get em....too late he got the 2 or 3 yards needed, 1st down Tigers. Mett back on the field. AND you never know, we could break one of those option zone reads into big plays! That's a lot speed, muscle, and talent to prepare for by a defense. I HATE chip Kelly, but anybody who thinks he and many other offensive minded coaches could not go into our locker room, with our talent and be 3 times more successful than our offense is/has been, is in denial. I just want ONE offensive coordinator in the country, to call CLM, and convince him to let him come coach our offense. Please, for the love of the big man upstairs, send us an OC!!! And if we are going to stick with the ground and pound. Pick a RB and let him develope. Because this RB by committee is killing chemistry as well. No different than 2 QB's = No QB
Oh ya, next year, I always forget "there is always next year" For most of us, it's not ignoring the fact that we have a very talented football team in which we love to watch and cheer for, it's the frustration of knowing that if we had an offense that could "at the very least" be in the top 50% on passing, we would be so much more talented. At this point, that's all I want to see. That's it! Just be better than half the nation in passing offense , ESPECIALLY when we can't run. We couldn't run on UF, we won't run on SC, won't run on Bama, and who knows about State.
I don't disagree with that at all, I am actually right there with you BUT some blamed Crowton, now blaming Studs, it could be 2 bad OC but it might be the head coach getting in the way. A number of possibilities. If it is CLM's it may have to be something we get use too. His record speaks for itself overall, I was Commenting on Herb's post where someone had called for CLM's to be fired. No one would coach here no matter what then. We would not get a good coach if you fired CLM's with his record because you aren't happy with the offense.
And Honestly, I think its truly 2 bad OC's in a row! I dont want to fire CLM, I want to see him do his job, and fix this offense. Either bring in the talent and develope the players to make this offense work, or bring in the playbook, and the coaching staff that will work with the players we have. Its not rocket science, square pegs, do not fit n round holes.
