Look, I'm about as upset as the next person over this loss. I can't even BEGIN to describe the heartbreak. BUT... We're still in the SECCG. We've still got a shot at the Sugar Bowl. I know I know, the National Championship was our goal. We blew it. BUT THE SEASON IS NOT OVER. Let's quit all the "sky is falling" threads. We've got a huge game next week. We still need to show this team we're behind them. Besides, in this crazy year of college football, we may even still have a snowball's chance in hell at the BCS title game. After this season, ANYTHING can happen. Not likely, but there is a shot. I know everyone is upset, which is all well and good. We had every opportunity to win that game. But we still have a lot to play for. THE SEASON IS NOT OVER.
I'm with you.....but I still feel like my dog died or something. Maybe a win in the SECCG will cheer me up a little. Wish I could feel better about this, but it's a really devastating loss to deal with. :bncry:
Goodness this hurts but I am so proud of them. This team will always be # 1 in my heart. They never quit and left everything they had on the field. What a game. :LSU231:
We're still in the SECCG. We've still got a shot at the Sugar Bowl. I know I know, the National Championship was our goaL Isn't the Sugar Bowl the National Championship Game? So if we win the SECCG are we in the NC game?
No. The Sugar Bowl is the Sugar Bowl and the BCS championship game is played a week later in the Dome. A lot of teams need to lose and we need a convincing SECCG win to get to the BCS championship.
Way to spin a positive out of this. Let's geaux, Tigers. Let's win the SECCG!! And then demolish someone in a bowl.
23 I would say there will be about 80% of the people that were going next week will not go to the SECCG after this loss. I've already talked to 6 people that were going and only 1 is still planning on attending. I'm sure it will be fun but the luster of the SECCG is gone for many.
