BOT...... I was in Tx last week talking with a few coaches. The DeSoto school came up. The Tigers did well getting Mills, maybe one steal of the class. Remember, DeSoto had at least 9 kids last year sign with major colleges. 2 with Air Force, ULM, New Mexico St., 2 with UT, One with Rice and one with A&M. This year, more of the same. Lots of talent. Trivia: Name the former member of LSU"s "Fab-5" thats a head coach in TX. Hint, hes only one of two that finished at LSU.
Not sure if you are referring to the Fab-5 running backs that LSU signed in '94 (I think). If so, I'll go with David Butler since I recall that he finished at LSU.
It is a Toomer, yep that would be right. To add, he and David are the only two of the 5 to finish at LSU. Haven't looked lately but at one time, Jay Johnson (The one from Waco, Tx.) held the YPC record in the SEC by a true freshman, a little over 10 ypc. To also add at one time Toomer still held some high school rushing records. An in high school, he had broke some of Herschel Walkers records. On another note, another former Tiger Mike Callis has gotten out of coaching, going back into oil field sales.
