Don't put too much stock into what Kiper says. When draft time comes around you will see him change his tune and tout the guys that are represented by "agents" that are friends of his. Need proof? Look at the fit he threw when the dude from ND kept sliding down the draft board. Not saying those two guys don't have what it takes, just saying watch Mel change his tune if they side with an agent that isn't with team Mel.

Not to mention, at least while I was there, your brother owned it. ;)

When I started my career in Lake Charles I remember the kids being so excited he'd returned for any given activity to give back to the community.

Ok, with Mingo you have to factor in Special teams, on some kickoff formations he right next to Hairston (The kicker) playing center field. Teams like a guy that can play extra's, come in a start on Special Teams.

Ok, BOT, kind of from memory. LSU had True Freshmen out of high school playing last year. Rasco, Freak, La'el, OBJ, Martin, Jarvis Landry, Hilliard and Hairston. Didn't take long for these guys to contribute. Word out if it would have not been for depth a few others could have played and played well on the team as TF. These took red-shirts last year Collins, Eugene, Turner, Corey White, Quentin Thomas and Mickey Johnson.
As for DB's, we have 12 players now that can play in position. Reid, Loston, Thompson, Thomas, Raymond, Simon, Martin, Collins, Eugene, Mills, Duplessis and Sandolph. Of those, Reid, Simon, Loston, Martin and Duplessis that have lettered. Talking with a guy down in New Orleans last night, Deion "Debo" Jones is one to keep an eye on, he played LB, was moved around, has great speed and was named the 2011 New Orleans Catholic League Player of the year. At 6'2" 200#'s hes more like a safety, not saying he will move, but in some formations, speed and size are there. Chief will have the best 11 on the field.

Well, he does have a whole season to get a little more polished--though if he wants to stay for a senior year, I have zero problem with that.

Yes, I was being extremely facetious. I know he's gone, as well as several others.
