Dead On! CLM is not smart enough to use this plan. Mabe smart is not the right word, CLM has too much pride (Big Ten)

I really think that's what it is coming down to.

And he will unfortunately hold our fortunes hostage for the rest of the season.

I think today showed Miles that we are not going to be a grind it our running team. I agree with Izzy. Let's spread it out and use what we've got.

Unfortunately, Les is old school and originates from the big ten aka Bo Schlem.... ball. So he probably wont be taking your advice. Crowton might but I kinda doubt it.

You people can call me a negative nancy if you want but we arent a top 10 team. ive been watching alot of football for a long time and sorry this just isnt it. We've backed into this ranking and when the tax man comes to collect its gonna hurt.

I am hoping we manage to get by Georgia but dont bank on it. I doubt we beat bama but I am hoping they have a screw up day. Pretty sure we can bank on beating Tulame. We should hope florida looks past us and forgets to show up. maybe a lil Death Valley magic? I hope.... At this point even Auburn is a toss up.

We won yes but if you are honest and I am.... you will say this team is poorly coached this year and the O line is sub par at best. maybe not poorly coached but we have gotten the wool pulled over our eyes more than a few times. And I dont think it was our athletes. Izzy's post above is a cry for some better coaching, although he might not admit it.

Bright spots are good plays by Jones, Solid play by Peterson, defense is improved although not tested really.

JJ is improving and Shepard is going to be a horse. Lafell and Tolliver just need more touches. they can make stuff happen. All this is well and GOOD

but you cant win ALWAYS on talent alone, it can get you by somethimes but not always. Some one has to block up front for this talent.

Now I am certainly no Joe Paterno but I do know Good football starts with solid offensive line play. It effects everything, even the defense depends on it because they dont need to be on the field the entire game. One thing i wonder did we recruit well for the O line?

Honestly if we cant win in the trenches in the SEC, if we cant blow people off the line of scrimmage, we will win a few on talent and loose a few more. maybe more....

I absolutely HATE all these media saying things like " LSU's loaded with talent but when are they going to show up?" they are right of course. The expectations for this team are NOT too high like everyone says. They are playing poorly period. We have equal talent to Florida and Bama, you just dont hear the media saying those teams are over rated like they say about us.

AND please dont come in here saying alot of the sports media know zilch, some of the sports casters do a VERY good job and usually they just disagree to hype the game. Most of them get a pay check to watch football, I doubt anyone here does.

If you listen to the Press conferences and questions the media and local papers ask Miles, they know what is up... sad but true. I heard Miles get a little annoyed when someone in the press conference last week questioned play calling. while everything is purple roses here on the net, you can bank on the media asking the tough questions and they should I agree 1000%.

My only hope is that we continue to get lucky and win off our talent OR Even better we improve and SOON! cause if we dont its going to be ugly.

    No, I want better coaching.

Les Miles is sucking at his job the past 2 years. People in the know say he controls a much bigger part of the offense than we are aware of.

Gary Crowton is a genius who is being handicapped by his head coach.

We saw it with Alley Broussard. We saw with Justin Vincent. Now we are seeing it with Charles Scott. He will run that horse into the ground, even though it's quite dead.

I wasnt aware that Miles was so over bearing, I had him pegged as a guy who delegates. Interesting. Come to think of it, it makes sense... Jimbo wasnt that bad but he sure wanted out.

BTW i dont think that horse would BE DEAD if we could count on our O line.

Just like the threads bashing Miles are overbearing, so are these responses. I just read this entire thread, and nowhere could I find anyone suggesting Miles needs to be replaced.

If you are too blind to see that the coaches need to improve/change the offensive scheme, I don't know what to tell ya'. Izzy said he wants better coachING...not a better coach. You think the coaches are doing a great job right now?

And please don't tell me about the 90s. I was a student at LSU starting in Arnsparger's last season...watched the whole thing fall like a house of cards under Archer/Hallman. I know it could be much worse. But just because it could be much worse doesn't mean it can't be better.
