We were one consistant QB away from 9-3 or 10-2. Failure breeds contempt, especially after all the success from previous seasons that these players had. I feel like most of the problems were perpetuated by poor QB play and lack of coaching to fix it. I remember the same thing happening in Dinardo's last season. After the 4 pick six Auburn fiasco the wheels came off. I sense the same this season after Georgia somewhat and alot after Bama. I think that is what Miles alluded to in the post game about "finding players who want to play LSU football". I believe after all of the issues we had at QB there were some players who weren't playing for the team anymore. It's up to Miles to fix it and get the guys left to believe in the program again.
He had a hidden agenda. He felt his Buckeyes would have the best chance in beating LSU out of all the contenders. Bitch slapped again he was.
We're gonna be alright. Miles will right the ship. We're 1 solid DC and a couple nice assistants away from being a real competitive team next year. In 2 years, when JJ, JLee and Sheppard have had plenty of time to mature, we'll be that "Damn Strong Football Team" again. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
All things considered It is a losing season... We lost to every good team on the schedule.. I know I am spoiled but like the man said Last week - This is LSU - the best football program in the Nation..
I'm as disappointed as the next guy. But this is the worst thread I've read in a long time. Miles made a bad decision with DC, IMO. He made a good decision to kick RP off the team, IMO. Those two things, as it turns out, cost the Tigers three losses above the two we all expected this year. A LOT WILL HAPPEN BETWEEN TODAY AND NEXT FALL! Buck up, folks. The talkin' heads have to say something, so they do. They don't know. Hell, they all thought UGA was gonna light the country up this year. Not so much. Which of them predicted Ole Miss would have this kind of season? Uh, none of them. Which of them predicted Bama would be undefeated? Uh, none of them. Drink a beer. Be disappointed. Hell, I may not even WATCH the Whatever Bowl - may just DVR it for a rainy day. But a thread like this belongs on a Bama board. Not this one.
He didn't lead the charge at all, I vividly remember him telling Musberger we were "done" during that game. I remember distinctly him cutting Musberger off when they were discussing the possibilities and LSU came up. Herby: "They just lost a week before, they're done, get them out of there" He changed his mind sometime that week and then began championing us, but his initial reaction was that we were undeserving.
Why don't we just wait and see how next season plays out? Lets go enjoy the bowl games, NFL football or College basketball followed by baseball. We can always bring this stuff up during next football season no matter what happens. We will either have a good laugh or have another year like this one!
