Uh-oh---Herbstreit just said it.... "....Jordan Jefferson, the real leader of this LSU team...". Well, that's probably the way team sees it, regardless of what the gamewatchers and coach-wannabes want it to be.

He has a point. There were a lot of big name players that had 9 chalked on their arms or wristbands the entire time he was suspended.

I dont like what he did, and I really didnt think he should be let back on the team.

But Miles would be a fool not to use him. The team is better with him playing. Not starting, but 9 times out of 10 if we need 3 or 4 yards for a first, he can get it with his legs.

The players really rallyed around him both during and after the game last week

You mean like you and Herbstreit??

For every player that has said something positive about JJ, there's one, or the same player, saying something positive about JL.

Unless you, me, or ANYONE else out there is ACTUALLY on the team and in that locker room, you, nor anyone else can make assumptions as to how the team "really feels". :dis:

And our team has passed for more yards in these 5 games without him so much as throwing a pass than just about any 5-game stretch all of last season.

And if we need 3 or 4 yards for a first, Ware/Ford/Blue can get it with THEIR legs.

Is JJ a benefit to have? yes. Is he a neccessity? Nope.

Herbie is not far off but not entirely correct. There are a lot of leaders on this team and JJ and JL are considered two of the bigger ones and Lee has taken over that role quite nicely after being voted team captain after the mess started. All of the players have rallied around JJ and many of the players were talking about his growth as a leader during the spring and fall practices.

However, many refuse to concede that it has to be one or the other.
