Says that a 1 loss USC will NOT leapfrog a 1 loss SEC or Big 12 team. Coarso, as is his natural tendancy, totally missed the boat and declared USC's reputation will precede them and vault them back up to the top. As a sidenote, Lee Coarso is 81.
I agree with Corso's statement...Herbie is like a palm tree, always moves to the direction that the wind is blowing, so I refuse to give credit to anything he says.
Think its sad but IMO Corso is right. USC wins out with a few blow outs, I can see them right back in the mix come Nov. Im just hoping for a couple more losses and to enjoy watching the sinking ship and Trojan fan base meltdowns.

I think it is. Last year, for the florida game, gameday was at lsu. a friend of mine went watch them make the predictions for the lsu/fla game. herbstreit picked florida and the crowd booed. when herbstreit came off the stage with no camera's around he said "lsu in a blowout." now, i'm not sure which one was his real statement. he might have said the 'lsu in a blowout' statement to get out of town alive!
I think Herbstreit echoes what we all believe and hope will happen. Corso parrots what is wrong in the sports media and what might actually happen anyway. The SEC may have to go unbeaten, or hope for another loss to USC. Though it would be nice if the media got it right.
