I live in Pac 10 country as well and watch UW alot. They are not pathetic, (one bad call from beating Notre Dame on the road last week). I went to the game up there and they are not great by any stretch, but pathetic is a terrible description of their team this year. They are average, but getting better. By the way, Locker WILL be drafted before Tebow.
I got to spend a day with the crew a few years back. Chris Fowler and Lee Corso were cool as $hit and super nice. Then their was Kirk Herbstreit. The guy is a bitch drama queen. We had to get special food just for him and he wouldn't eat what everyone else was eating. Always looking in the mirror having his hair fixed and make-up. Chris and Lee baby-sat this fool all day. Lee Corso was the best. I asked him why Florida had so much talent down there and he said b/c of the Cuban invasion. To be honest with you Kirk does not like LSU one bit. He will give them credit but only when he has no other choice.
Yeah Im a bit harsh on the Huskies but 10 years of pathetic in your backyard is a hard habit to deny. I stand by my appraisal and hope to be proven wrong as they slowly get better. Yes they are getting better. And yes Lockyer will be drafted before Tebow. Dont know why you had to throw that jab in there? Whatever. Didnt think I would be offending anyone here by knocking the Huskies or I wouldnt have brought it up.
Quoted for emphasis. I'll never understand why everyone gets so worked up about this sort of thing when the team has every opportunity to prove them wrong (or right) on the field.
Hey gator, are the people in seattle pissed off about the hose job at South Bend last weekend? What are most of them saying? If Georgia fans think they were robbed, they should talk to UW. UW was robbed twice.
Yeah, last year was a major hose job. People are ticked here, but this area is so not into football except for some diehards. Its a different world out here than when I lived in the south.
I don't think that many people really get worked up about it. Rankings don't even really matter right now and their own little polls mean even less. I think people are just trying to understand their picks. They get paid to analyze football and sometimes they don't make much sense. LSU hasn't played that great this year and they both noted how LSU hasn't been impressive to them. That's very fair. But then one picks Virginia Tech in his top 5 (who needed a miracle against Nebraska at home to win, struggled with Duke and lost by 10 to Bama). Tech did whip Miami and played great in that one, but what about the other games? They both put USC above LSU. We have one common opponent in Washington. LSU beat Washington there by 8. USC lost to them by 3. So you have an undefeated team that one puts at 5 and the other doesn't even include, but they both put a team in there with an L that couldn't beat the team that LSU did beat. Also, 27-6 against Washington State is not impressive at all. Hell, at least LSU hit the 30s against the Cajuns.
