It is what it is. Giving up big plays to a guy that couldn't make our practice squad is pathetic. If thats negative, its just negative. If people can't discuss the reality of negativity, then on those subjects I guess there won't be much to discuss.

Others might say, "It sure would be nice if we could handle that guy, but by golly, we are LSU and if we can't, its ok, theres always next year."

This person probably will be popular on the boards, and Sabanfan probably won't call them "special" and their posts "dumb".

If Sabanfan, or anyone else doesn't like me because of my tone, what am supposed to do? Care? Or ignore him and deal with the intelligent posters such as Nootch? I choose the latter.

One thing that being in the military has taught me is that the truth is sometimes blunt and unseemly. But that does not mean we should strive for something besides honesty.

Everything I said on this board about LSU being vulnerable to the pass is true. Now one can argue that UF, Bama, UGA, or any of the top Big 12 teams have no chance to beat us. I think a reasonable case can be made that those teams can compete with us if we don't play better pass defense.

I'm glad to see you state that "critiquing" is ok. I hope so. I know on some message boards it is not. But its funny how the anti-negative fans get so negative. Sort of like, "I've told you a million times, don't exaggerate". Yeah, Ok.

I plan to continue to tell the truth as I see it. I'll try to be as nice and polite as I can be. Most people that meet me think I am a nice person. But I will continue to tell the truth as I see it.

And StaceyO, I am still on one knee as I type this to give you your props! :yelwink2:

No, I am here. Now that I am out of the military, I am working on my masters degree. So I had to go to a class tonight.

Come on, Nootch. You know I won't go away that easy. Crazy Old Men in Afghanistan with AK 47s...Very scarey.

Sabanfan and StaceyO? Not so much!

ROFL...on the one hand, "You are too negtative, don't be so negative, critiques only."

On the other hand, "Oh, you said something nice about a poster, hmmm...you must have an admiring crush on that person."

    Great...the board I stumbled onto has a bi-polar disorder.

(That was a joke. I know that no board can ACTUALLY have a bi polar disorder, I am not being negative, or making a critique. Its just a joke about the Jekyl-Hyde quality of the past couple of posts.)

I never said you were negative. Critique away. Just understand there will be opposing views. :thumb: But don't insinuate posters are "klan" members or bi-polar.

There are better ways to put it that will open the board to discussions about the game instead of personal shots with other member. You can say the exact same thing with less hostility.
    It's all in the delivery

We heard all of this last year, over and over and over again. Of course there is truth to it. If anyone said any team has no chance to beat us, they would be wrong.

You seem to have a real problem with the performance of the MSU QB who was making his 1st start. Well, he showed a lot of ability and he was extremely slippery, escaping to make good plays time after time. He was talented and the fact that he's relatively inexperienced does not change that. Our own QB is a redshirt freshman also making his 1st start and he won the game, yet all you can see is the downside which you translate to certain losses down the road. Our coaching staff has shown the ability to do what needs to be done time after time after time and chances are they'll have us ready for the teams you seem to be so afraid of.

You just need to relax, enjoy being where we are and let the coaches do their job.
