And they are still #108 Well when I posted it, they were 20 but if it makes you crow to have moved down 6 spots, then cock-a-doodle-do, wingnut.
I hate this argument from opposing fans. That's no different then saying, "the only reason the Patriots will win the super bowl is because of Tom Brady". Uh.... NO SHIT. That's why we have Fournette. That's why we have a chance at a Natty. If Kessler goes down USC goes down. If Fournette goes down, LSU goes down. If Brady goes down the Patriots go down. Besides, his entire argument is based on DEFENSE winning championships. And your argument is to bring Offense into the discussion. I am not in agreement that LSU will win the Natty this year, but they certainly have the potential.
No, USC goes down because we have an inept and young defense combined with a really crappy DC and D-line coach. Our offense is balanced and we have a very solid backup in Max Browne. Juju doesn't need Cody to throw the ball in order to make the catch. And yet right now, based on results, it's LSU's offense, vis a vis, Leonard Fournette that is winning games. Go back to 2004. Oklahoma had a decent defense, #13 ranked. And yet we put 55 points up. Sometimes defense wins, and sometimes it's not enough.
There is NO question that LSU IS Leonard Fournette. NOBODY with a brain can argue that. But WITH Fournette, LSU is a force. NOBODY can argue that. I am not quite sure what your point is. Other than getting in a long line to hate on Fournette and LSU for having him. A VERY LONG line.
He is the greatest RB that LSU has ever had. I do believe the stable of RB's we have may also be the best group, in our history. All of them would do well behind a very good run blocking Oline.
LSU may be one dimensional in the pass/run ratio, but the team is not Fournette only. The loss of Fournette would be a huge blow to the team and the fans, but it is the one position that we are very deep in very talented running backs.
There is no depth in the position of Once in a Lifetime Running Back. Williams is pretty good, Guice has shown flashes of great potential and Brossette could turn out to be a good one too but who are we kidding? All those comparisons of Fournette to Adrian Peterson, Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson? They are not exaggerations
They were my 4 last week, yunno, before they lost. Gotta different 4 this week. See how it works? You play the game, you win or lose, you get ranked based on those wins or losses and you do it again the next week. In all that, shit changes. Oh look, LSU moved up and a bunch of others that were not top 5 or even the top 10. Now, without cheating, how do you think that happened? I used crayons, so can you.
