His loss for not staying and reaping the rewards. If you believe the media, our current and "lesser" coach is! Less of Nick, more of Les !!!!!!!
ESPN may soon give Saban credit for the success of the LSU Baseball team! :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
yeah it was an overall effort. but without Nick being an *******, it may not have happened. he didn't politely ask for upgrades, he told them to build better facilities.
I still say Bama was not a good 12-0 team in the regular season. They had a good team, and they killed a good Ga. club, but Auburn and LSU were way off their norm. They played 3 good teams, beat down Ga. and lost to Fla. and Utah. Bama had a good Sr. at QB, we had trouble at QB. It will be interesting to see what happens at Auburn. Their recruiting has been suspect, but Tubby put up a good show, till last year. Chizic has something to work with, but I think LSU is in better position to rebound in one year, as we appear to have solved our QB issue, and tried to improve the defensive coaching staff. I eagerly await the surprises to unfold next season. LSU!
Amen. And I mean seriously...if WE almost beat them with all of our problems last year then they were never truly a contender. :hihi:
Exactly. Saban and LSU were good to each other. Saban reaped the benefits of all the facility improvements LSU made. He had much more to work with and sell to recruits than previous coaches had. Lots of folks think Les is less, but he was smart enough not to leave, whearas the "genius" Saban wasn't
Hate to beat this drum again. Buuuuut, the problem as I saw it was not that Saban left LSU. (And yes he helped the program grow). It was the himmin and hawing, back-handed way he did it. Then...the true disloyalty of the man that, I think, rubbed most of us the wrong way. Wasn't anyone else mildly relieved when he departed due to fear that he had exhausted ALL he had? I know that was my feeling at the time.
