WWL is apparently reporting that this is a done deal..apparently LSU was wanting him to hold off, maybe until after signing day but Missouri isn't wanting to wait.
Really weird story, sounds like he is taking the same position he had at LSU, which would be a step down going to Mizzou. Wonder what went wrong being that he just helped haul in one of the best classes in LSU history? Seems like part of the story has yet to be told.
Something new Im hearing...apparently, Henson wasnt happy with us going after Coach O. Also, if Coach O would have been hired, Porter was looking at the door as well. Again...just a lot of talk.
Also, apparently Henson really wanted the OL job when Stud was hired. He seems to lack the normal progression of the profession at LSU as he has been the TE coach for 4 years. Guess he thinks he can progress faster at Mizzou...dunno
That's a big loss if true. He was an exceptional recruiting coordinator. He's in on a lot of gulf coast prospects so it shouldnt be a big loss as far as individual recruits go but it's tough to see him go.
It definitely looks that way in hindsight. Sadly, I bet Coach O is happy with this development, that he possibly caused such an undoing.
