I knew. Actually though I didn't until I googled George. Darn sure didn't know he wrestled professionally. Obviously that ain't an LSU uniform he has on.
Whoops! I guess I didn't put things too clearly. Actually, I'm talking about "Big" John Tenta, otherwise known as Earthquake of the Natural Disasters from WWF in the 80s. Sorry for the confusion. :thumb:
Totally off topic....I believe Earthquake passed away a couple of years ago...FWIW. Anyway...I knew he played at LSU...finding out this tidbit of info after watching him wrestle back in the day. I believe it wasnt until he passed away that I found out he was a tiger. Was he just on the Tiger's roster or did he see any significant playing time??? Thought I remember something about him only being here a year or so and actually left the team/got kicked off which threw him in the ring...dunno
I think I remember reading that he left LSU just because they dropped wrestling. As for the football part, I think he may have just been a backup. After leaving LSU, he went to Japan, put on some weight, and did sumo.
