Like I said, I repented and firmly resolved to avoid even the near occasion of sin. That's why I'm really enjoying ND's downfall a little too much. It could have been worse, the kid down the street was a USC fan. He liked OJ a lot. My dad (LSU med school grad) forbade my brothers and I to let him play street ball with us because of it. That year, my dad took me and my brothers to the Sugar Bowl to see LSU beat Wyoming in the cold and rain. On LSU's team was Nelson Stokely, Sammy Grezaffi, Doug Moreau, etc. Wyoming had a good running back named Jim Kiick. We were hooked on LSU thereafter.
too often as children, we dont fully appreciate our parents wisdom. you are lucky to have such a caring father.
Indeed. My Dad wouldn't let me play with kids from mississippi. Somethin about farm animals and hygiene I recall....
Goodluck, and welcome. I question your allegiance though. SEC football is something you're born into, somethin reaching deep into family and background. Why not a ky fan?
No matter. Given enough time and comparing the forums, shouldn't be long before he's bleeding Purple and Gold. Welcome to the forum. Interested to see your insight.
That's very true. My parents weren't big on college football, really. My grandparents are huge UK fans, and I can remember growing up watching college football there. I remember glimpses of Gator football up until 2005, when I began rooting for them. I really don't know what made me a fan. I do know one thing, though: My grandparents on my Mom's side are big Ohio State fans, so hey, I'm proud to be a fan of the Southeastern Conference - the best conference in America!
