Ditto, another reason to be proud to be a tiger.
I love CLM's , he is a good man with good character.
I'm glad all of this is behind us now and I'm so happy we have found a coach that will most likely stick around a while.
I think he also learned from CNS that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.:)
Especially in Ann Arbor this time of year!

That's beautiful! Les has given  what it's fans have said they wanted all along, an excellent coach, who WANTS to be here for the long term. For him to not listen to offers from his dream job and alma mater, now that's STRONG for LSU!!! Geaux Les!

Well how about that, amid all the BS, we found a good honorable man that tells the truth. How many of "those" are left around?

    Good ole Wikipedia,

Along with Antisthenes, Crates of Thebes, and Xeno, Diogenes is considered one of the founders of Cynicism. The ideas of Diogenes, like those of most other Cynics, must be arrived at indirectly. No writings of Diogenes survived even though he is reported to have authored a number of books. Cynic ideas are inseparable from Cynic practice; therefore what we know about Diogenes is contained in anecdotes concerning his life and sayings attributed to him in a number of scattered classical sources.

Have no idea where the lantern comes in.

Man, forgot about that news article you posted, go watch the video of Miles' post-game press conference at:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?&brand=null&videoId=3137132&n8pe6c=1

Yes, it will bring tears to your eyes, it brought tears to mine. Watch the video.

First, Miles talks about how he talked to his his idol and mentor, Michigan coach Bo Schemblecher, and told him how he'd love to be the Michigan coach one day. Miles talks about how he got the offer to come to LSU, and he asked Schemblecher about it, and Schemblecher told Miles: "let me tell you something," and Schemblecher went on to explain that he was good friends with LSU's Charles McClendon and that he knows LSU is "a great place" to be HC.

Second, Miles talks about how much he loves our LSU boys. His voice cracks and he almost starts to tear up when he describes how much he loves our LSU boys. How many of you do that? Think how great that would be if LSU fans loved our LSU boys so much that our voice would crack and we would tear up when we talk about how much we love them. That's what Coach Miles did. He's one of the greatest Tiger fans in history

Third, Miles admits that he really wanted to take that offer to be the next great Michigan head coach. He says that "I certainly love Michigan, love Michigan. I will always be a Michigan man ... but I'm not going there, and it saddens me at times -- can't be in two places, I got a great place, I'm at home."

If you don't love this guy at LSU, you have a cold heart indeed.
