If I understand this correctly, the tiff is over Obama mandating that religious organizations must cover the cost of birth control under the new health care law. Personally I think it makes sense, especially if you consider that the very same people want to reduce or eliminate the number of abortions being performed. Further, providing birth control is considerably cheaper than adding a child to the welfare payroll. I understand the argument about mandates and for the most part I am in agreement that mandates are not a good thing. That said, in this instance I think it is fair enough.
Leave my birth control alone. I love not having periods When you guys have periods then you can have a say. carry on
Tell that to the religious people (like the catholic church) who want to do away with all forms of birth control.
Not exactly. It mandates that hospitals and other medical providers must conform to certain medical standards, including those hospitals owned by religions.
Right....learned this after posting here. Apparently it does contain an exclusion for actual churches and direct employees of the church.
Nothing but Gingrich pandering to the religious nut bag sect of America for votes hoping they will come out in droves to help him in the primaries. He is playing that, I'm a sinner, but I admit my sins card really well.
