    Well, it doesn't! Wise up!

The only socialized medicine we have is the Veterans Administration and the Louisiana Charity Hospital System. Both of those gulags will become unneeded under universal health insurance.

The New Health Law simply requires that people be privately insured so that they can get treatment at the private hospitals and doctors of their choice. There are not government hospitals and clinics that one must go to, which is what socilaized medicine is.

I think I quit watching for two reasons. On one hand,.. is my disgust with everything related to healthcare reform. Obama settled for a field goal at the 2 yard line, when America really needed a touchdown. Right now, I am fed up with domestic politics.

On the other hand,.. Bush isn't still phucking up absolutely everything, his great recession has bottomed out, and the world stage is playing out pretty well, so I don't feel a need to see what's going on.

I just need a break from fretting about stuff.

Which is exactly what it is set up to become when they price the private sector right out of the business and they have no CHOICE but the government option. Many of them are on record as saying as much. You are the one that needs to wise up amigo.

We can argue all we want about if its socialized or not - but one thing that is a fact is that its 100% Democrat; Repubs get no credit if it works out good, and no blame if its a train wreck.

The absolute worst thing about it is that after all the crap about "Change"; and "We're going to do things differently"; and "its going to be on C-SPAN"; they did nothing different.

It was created in back rooms deals out of sight of open government groups. If I as a President of my local utility district did business in the way these people did to create this law I could go to jail. And they should also.

They are all whores. Some are Democratic whores, and some are Republican whores. But virtually everyone that spends any time in Washington becomes a whore. Not because they naturally born whores, but because our system of government has become one of back room trading of money and power. And whores, no matter what their selling, rarely find a way to get out of the business.

Exactly right, and the worst part about it is there is no way to change it. At least none that 99% of the country wants to face.

There exists no government option. How can private insurers price themselves out of business?

Medical insurance companies are going to get more business and make more money. Smart investors will make money, too.

The status quo is not an option but that is all the republicans offer. Health insurance is skyrocketing far beyond wages and companies can drop you on a whim, when you need them the most. In just a few years health insurance will pass the mortgage as a family's biggest expense.

Not true. If the fed govt. is allowed to mandate health coverage what is next. Are they going to insure my life next?

Healthcare is not a right. You can't have a right to someone else's services.
